Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By using the Dua Diary app or this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. If you subscribe to Dua Diary Premium, section 4 applies to you in full.

2. Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Dua Diary on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

3. Your content

Collections, personal notes, daily reflections and duas you write remain yours. They are stored on your device — we do not receive them, cannot read them, and claim no rights over them. You are responsible for what you write and for keeping your own copies; the app's export feature exists for exactly that.

4. Dua Diary Premium subscription

Dua Diary Premium is an auto-renewable subscription. The following terms are required by Apple and describe exactly how billing works.

• What it includes. Routines and their reminders, saving duas from Discover into your collections, writing your own duas and collections, and your consistency record.
• Plans and length. Monthly (one month) or Yearly (one year). The current price for each is shown in the app before you confirm, in your local currency, and is the price that governs — App Store pricing varies by region and may change.
• Free trial. New subscribers are offered 7 days free. If you have already used a free trial in this subscription group, you will not be offered another, and the app will say so before you confirm.
• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. We never see or handle your payment details.
• Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the renewal.
• Managing and cancelling. You can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renew at any time in your Apple Account settings, or from Settings → Subscription inside the app. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period.
• Trial forfeiture. If you subscribe during a free trial, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited when the purchase takes effect.
• Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple, not from us, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.

If your subscription ends. Everything you have already written stays on your device, readable and exportable. Routines stop running and their reminders stop, and you will not be able to save new duas or write new ones until you subscribe again. We will not delete your content because a subscription lapsed. Shared diaries you already created keep working for everyone in them; creating new shared diaries needs an active subscription.

5. Dua and religious content

Qur'anic verses, hadith and their translations are reproduced from the sources credited in the app. We take accuracy seriously, but Dua Diary is not a substitute for scholarly guidance. If a matter of religious practice depends on it, please consult a qualified scholar. If you find an error, write to us and we will correct it.

6. Intellectual property

The Dua Diary name, brand, design, original copy and software are ours. Scripture and hadith are not claimed by us; the credited translations remain with their respective rights holders.

7. This website

The website is provided for information and to collect interest in the app. You agree not to use it for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that could damage, disable or impair it.

8. Disclaimer and liability

Dua Diary is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of content you have not backed up. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that affects a subscription you already hold, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that constitutes acceptance.
